Results matter. If employees
are led to believe they can get introduced to an individual,
the introduction ought to be possible within a reasonable
amount of time. It helps nobody if employees are informed
they can gain an introduction to Bill Gates, for example,
only to learn afterwards that they need the help of five
people to gain access to that introduction. Should any of
the five people choose not to assist, their time and yours
is wasted without gaining the benefit of the desired introduction.
